Disconnecting from QuickBooks Online
If you disconnected from inside QuickBooks, that has taken effect already. Intuit will not accept any further requests from PortalPoint for that company.
What has already happened
Intuit has withdrawn the authorisation. PortalPoint can no longer read or write anything in that QuickBooks company, from this moment, whatever is still on screen in the application.
Nothing needed to be revoked on our side, because we hold nothing to revoke. PortalPoint keeps its QuickBooks tokens on your own computer and this website stores none of them — no database row, no log entry, nothing at rest.
Finish it in the application
One step is worth doing on your own machine, so PortalPoint stops trying and stops warning you about a connection that is gone:
- Open PortalPoint on your computer.
- Go to Settings, then Integrations.
- Find QuickBooks Online and choose Disconnect.
That clears the stored authorisation from your machine. You can also disconnect from there in the first place, which does both halves at once and is the tidier way round.
What you keep
Everything. Your customers, jobs, invoices and documents are in PortalPoint’s own database on your own computer. They were never in QuickBooks’s keeping and they are not affected by disconnecting.
Your QuickBooks company is equally untouched. Anything PortalPoint had already sent stays there, as your records. Disconnecting stops the two talking; it does not undo what they said to each other.
What stops is the synchronising. From now on, work entered in PortalPoint will not reach QuickBooks and will need entering there by hand, or by reconnecting later.

Removing your data from our records
Disconnecting QuickBooks is separate from the licence you bought from us.
